Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SecurePasswordVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may:

• ✅ Download and install the App on devices you own or control
• ✅ Use the App to store and manage your passwords and secure notes
• ✅ Create backups of your encrypted data

You may not:

• ❌ Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• ❌ Use the App for any illegal purpose
• ❌ Attempt to circumvent security measures

User Responsibilities

As a user, you are responsible for:

• Password Security - Creating a strong, unique master password and keeping it confidential.
• Recovery Key - Safely storing your recovery key in case you forget your master password.
• Device Security - Maintaining the security of devices where the App is installed.
• Accurate Information - Ensuring any information you provide is accurate.
• Compliance - Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws.

Data Ownership

You retain complete ownership of all data you store in SecurePasswordVault:

• Your passwords, notes, and other content remain yours
• We do not claim any rights to your content
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• Your data is encrypted with keys only you control

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of any content

While we strive to provide a secure and reliable service, we do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free from viruses or harmful components

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SECUREVAULT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to:

• Source code and software
• Design elements and user interface
• Trademarks and logos
• Documentation and content

remain the exclusive property of SecurePasswordVault and its licensors.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• You should export any data you wish to keep before deleting the App
• We have no obligation to maintain or forward any of your data

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We will notify you of significant changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Updates to this page
• Email (if you have provided one)

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SecurePasswordVault operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
